Inside Out Club Leader (K-5th Grade Series or One-Time Activities, ages 18+)

- Lead character-building lessons to groups of kids or families, and help with activities and crafts
- Pick up and drop off all supplies (Volunteer Workshop is behind Naperville North High School)
- Must be comfortable using new technology, including a projector, Microsoft PowerPoint, YouTube, etc. (we will train you)
- Lessons are typically one hour long, and we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early and plan to stay about 15 minutes afterward
- To lead an Inside Out Club Series, you must be available for all 4 weeks in a row (offered in the fall, spring and summer)
- Minimum commitment within a calendar year for our Inside Out Club Series: two 4-week sessions; for our One-Time Inside Out Club Activities: 6 lessons)
- Training, curriculum and supplies are provided
Inside Out Club Support Volunteer (K-5th Grade Series or One-Time Activities, ages 16+)

One-Time Volunteer Events (families with kids ages 3-12)

- Inside Out Club has over 20 one-hour, fun and engaging service project events for families and groups
- One-time events for families with children ages 3-12
- Offered 10-12 times during the school year with registration the the Inside Out Club website
- Participants positively impact local nonprofits that serve the hungry, homeless, animals, seniors, veterans and more!
Group Volunteer Opportunities (all ages)

- Whether you are part of a scout troop, sports team, youth group, business or other group, we can partner with you to build character and give back.
- Pick one of our existing service events to attend, or contact us for a fun customized experience. IOC will lead the service project activity and provide all supplies, saving you time!
- Volunteer together at the IOC workshop to prep supplies for programming or Cocoa & Kindness boxes

Business Designers 4 Good Leader (ages 22+)

- Description: Lead a group of middle school students in a weekly workshop designed to build key life and business skills as they engage in the process of building a business with positive social and community impact, culminating in a “pitch” presentation of their business ideas before a panel of judges.
- Time/Location Commitment: Approximately 2 hours a week over the courses of 10 weeks, sessions generally held at a local middle school during the school year. Summer opportunities may be available to lead a camp session over the course of one week.
- Qualifications: Previous experience working with children in a teaching or coaching capacity, positive attitude, mission-driven, self-directed, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Training/Preparation: Leaders will be trained by Inside Out Club and all curriculum/content and materials will be provided for leaders.
- Compensation: Leaders may choose to volunteer their time, or may elect to be compensated with an $800 stipend for one individual, or $1000 split amongst two leaders.

Business Designers 4 Good Mentor (ages 20+)

- Description: Lend your time and expertise to small groups of middle school students participating in BD4G workshops. Support a team of students building their own business by listening, asking questions and offering insight and advice for their ideas.
- Time/Location Commitment: Approximately 3-6 hours over 3-4 meeting dates during the workshop. Sessions generally held at local middle schools during the school year. Opportunities may also be available to mentor during camp sessions offered in the summer. Mentors sign up for volunteer time-slots via Sign-Up Genius based on availability.
- Qualifications: Education or expertise in business and/or entrepreneurship through schooling or real-world experience.
- Training/Preparation: First-time mentors will take part in a 30-60 minute training session before their first volunteer time slot.
- Next Steps: Complete the volunteer application and mark “BD4G Mentor”. We’ll reach out about upcoming opportunities and scheduling.
Business Designers 4 Good Guest Judge (ages 20+)

- Description: Join us at a pitch presentation day for a BD4G Workshop to serve on a panel of judges.
- Time/Location Commitment: Approximately 2 hours, sessions generally held at local middle schools during the school year. Opportunities may also be available to judge during camp sessions offered in the summer. Judges sign up for volunteer time-slots via Sign-Up Genius based on availability.

- Training/Preparation: No formal training will take place, but an overview of program objectives and a rubric for judging is provided when you arrive.
- Next Steps: Complete the volunteer application and mark “BD4G Judge”. We’ll reach out about upcoming opportunities and scheduling.
Special Projects Team (All ages – kids welcome with an adult)

- Prep and pack lesson supplies for groups of 10 to hundreds of kids, help with data entry or other administrative projects and more
- When we have a need arise, we will contact members of the Special Projects Team to see who is available to sign up
- Most work is completed at our Volunteer Workshop, located behind Naperville North High School, though some projects can be picked up, completed at home, then returned to the Workshop
- Minimum commitment within a calendar year: two projects
Fundraising Events (All ages – kids welcome with an adult)

- Coordinate one or both of our special events: Fall Family 5K (September) and Cocoa & Kindness (December – Valentine’s Day)
- Roles include Event Chair, Subcommittee Chair and Subcommittee Member of Sponsorships, In-Kind Donations, Promotion, Logistics, Volunteers and more
- Committees typically meet once per month, with additional check-ins closer to the event
- Minimum commitment: one event, start to finish
- Training, easy-to-follow curriculum and supplies are provided
Board Member (Ages 22+)

- Contribute to the growth and success of Inside Out Club through leadership
- Support the Inside Out Club Executive Director and fellow Board Members in reaching organizational goals
- Promote and represent Inside Out Club in the community
- Attend Inside Out Club special events throughout the year
- Serve on a committee: Programs, Marketing, Finance, Board Development
- Participate in monthly board meetings as well as periodic committee meetings
- Minimum commitment: two years
