Volunteer Opportunities

Inside Out Club Leader (K-5th Grade Series or One-Time Activities, ages 18+)
- Lead character-building lessons to groups of kids or families, and help with activities and crafts
- Pick up and drop off all supplies (Volunteer Workshop is behind Naperville North High School)
- Must be comfortable using new technology, including a projector, Microsoft PowerPoint, YouTube, etc. (we will train you)
- Lessons are typically one hour long, and we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early and plan to stay about 15 minutes afterward
- To lead an Inside Out Club Series, you must be available for all 4 weeks in a row (offered in the fall, spring and summer)
- Minimum commitment within a calendar year for our Inside Out Club Series: two 4-week sessions; for our One-Time Inside Out Club Activities: 6 lessons)
- Training, curriculum and supplies are provided
Special Projects Team (All ages – kids welcome with an adult)

- Prep and pack lesson supplies for groups of 10 to hundreds of kids, help with data entry or other administrative projects and more
- When we have a need arise, we will contact members of the Special Projects Team to see who is available to sign up
- Most work is completed at our Volunteer Workshop, located behind Naperville North High School, though some projects can be picked up, completed at home, then returned to the Workshop
- Minimum commitment within a calendar year: two projects
Inside Out Club Support Volunteer (Series or Individual Lessons, ages 15+)

- Help the Inside Out Club Leader with character-building lessons, activities and crafts for groups of kids or families
- Lessons are typically one hour long, and we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early and plan to stay about 15 minutes afterward
- To support an Inside Out Club Series, you must be available for all four weeks in a row (offered in the fall, spring and summer)
- Minimum commitment within a calendar year for our Inside Out Club Series: two 4-week sessions; for our One-Time Inside Out Club Activities: Six lessons)
- Training, easy-to-follow curriculum and supplies are provided
Special Event Committee (All ages – kids welcome with an adult)

- Coordinate one or both of our special events: Fall Family 5K (September) and Cocoa & Kindness (December – Valentine’s Day)
- Roles include Event Chair, Subcommittee Chair and Subcommittee Member of Sponsorships, In-Kind Donations, Promotion, Logistics, Volunteers and more
- Committees typically meet once per month, with additional check-ins closer to the event
- Minimum commitment: one event, start to finish
- Training, easy-to-follow curriculum and supplies are provided
Board Member (Ages 18+)

- Contribute to the growth and success of Inside Out Club through leadership
- Support the Inside Out Club Executive Director and fellow Board Members in reaching organizational goals
- Promote and represent Inside Out Club in the community
- Attend Inside Out Club special events throughout the year
- Serve on a committee: Programs, Marketing, Finance, Board Development
- Participate in monthly board meetings as well as periodic committee meetings
- Minimum commitment: two years
