Wrap and Deliver Gifts for New Moms
September 28 @ 9:30 am - 11:45 am
Care for new moms by wrapping gifts for them and making cards! If you have time, deliver gifts to People’s Resource Center and receive a tour.
It’s really hard when you have an infant because there are so many things to learn: how to feed them, change them and care for them. Babies go through a lot of onesies and diapers!
At this hands-on Inside Out Club event, we will:
- Wrap diapers and onesies for new moms and make cards that express kindness and love
- Talk about why it’s so important to care for others, even if they are not a part of our family
- Take a tour of People’s Resource Center and learn about all of the amazing services they provide.
This volunteer experience will help your child learn how important it is to care for others and that spreading kindness through volunteering is awesome!
What You Need to Bring
We’ll provide the diapers, onesies, wrapping paper and supplies for making cards! If you’d like to bring a donation item, People’s Resource Center told us that they could use children’s books.
Where and When
We’ll meet at FBC Remodel, 425 Jackson Ave., Naperville, to assemble the gifts for moms from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
Then, all families that are available can drive to People’s Resource Center, 201 S. Naperville Road in Wheaton, to deliver the gifts and receive a tour that will start at 11 a.m. Please park along side streets and leave the building’s parking for PRC clients. If you are unable to attend the tour, you may still registerf for the wrapping and cards portion of the event.
Space is limited. You must register to reserve your spot(s). The cost is $8 per child (adults are free), which covers the cost of supplies, time and organization involved in planning and executing the event.
If you cannot afford the cost, please email the names and ages in your family or group to email@example.com and we will be happy to register you for free.

About the club
Inside Out Club DuPage (formerly I Support Community) started in September 2012 after seeing the overwhelming need for children to possess a strong foundation in character and community. Our mission is to develop kids with character inside and out.
Inside Out Club Opportunities
The Inside Out Club (IOC) is designed to engage kids and families in as many of these four opportunities as possible as they practice character skills and volunteer. Working with teachers, volunteers, parents, school administrators and outside organizations, the Inside Out Club is positively impacting more than 1,400 students and their families. IOC focuses on DuPage County and its needs.
What does Inside Out mean? We work to help students develop the character skills necessary to thrive in their lives, schools, and later in jobs and community. Lessons are based on the foundations of social and emotional learning, which helps people recognize and manage emotions, develop empathy for others, maintain cooperative relationships and make responsible decisions.
