Making Blankets & Toys for Rescue Animals (Session 1)
March 15, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Help take care of shelter animals by making a soft blanket and toy for them.
At this hands-on Inside Out Club event, we will:
Make small fleece tie blankets and toys for animals in need that will be donated to Comfort for Critters. Comfort for Critters ships blankets to more than 200 humane societies over the country and have given out more than 66,000 blankets! We’ll also be making small toys to go with the blankets.
Learn about how we all have a responsibility to care for animals and how our kindness will positively impact so many animals’ lives.
What You Need to Bring
We will provide all of the supplies. If you’d like to bring a small donation for Comfort for Critters to help offset their shipping costs, we will collect it and give it to them with the blankets.

About the club
Inside Out Club DuPage (formerly I Support Community) started in September 2012 after seeing the overwhelming need for children to possess a strong foundation in character and community. Our mission is to develop kids with character inside and out.
Inside Out Club opportunities
The Inside Out Club (IOC) is designed to engage kids and families in as many of these four opportunities as possible as they practice character skills and volunteer. Working with teachers, volunteers, parents, school administrators and outside organizations, the Inside Out Club is positively impacting more than 1,400 students and their families. IOC focuses on DuPage County and its needs.
What does Inside Out mean? We work to help students develop the character skills necessary to thrive in their lives, schools, and later in jobs and community. Lessons are based on the foundations of social and emotional learning, which helps people recognize and manage emotions, develop empathy for others, maintain cooperative relationships and make responsible decisions.
