SkillsBox10 Workshop with a Showcase Event at Meson Sabika!
- Workshop Dates: June 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18 & 23
- Time and Place: 1:30 – 4pm in the Naperville Central High School IncubatorEd Classroom
- Showcase Event: Monday, June 23rd from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at Meson Sabika
- Cost: For only $275 your student receives a 20 hour workshop, life-long skills, mentorship from community leaders, and dinner at Meson Sabika! One adult dinner at the showcase event is included as well. Fee waivers are available during online registration if needed.
Authentic 20-hour learning experience, perfect for building their resume
- Communicating with professional vendors
- Working with experienced mentors from the community
- Taking part in an etiquette lesson
- Learning and practicing effective communications and relationship building
- Managing a budget
- Researching/selecting a nonprofit to honor at the event
- Collaborating with new friends in their event sub-committee (marketing, operations and programming)
Culminates in a showcase event planned by your teen that includes:
- Dinner and dessert
- A program presentation (what teens learned, why it’s important, etc.)
- Nonprofit highlight of organization selected by the teens
- Networking time over dinner
- Greeters, gratitude and overall welcoming atmosphere
