VIRTUAL – Kindness Rocks & Chalk Art Event
May 16, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Create ripples of kindness with colorful rocks and sidewalk messages!
Messages of kindness are powerful – they can generate positive feelings, smiles and laughs as well as encourage others to say or do something kind. Let’s help your child find and give kindness! During this virtual event, we will paint kindness rocks and we’ll work together to formulate plans to start our very own ripples of kindness using the rocks as well as through some fun chalk art. Kids will be provided the tools (rocks, paint pens, chalk, etc.) that they need!
“A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” -Amelia Earhart
- Character Traits: Kindness, Collaboration, Gratitude
- Social Cause: Being Socially Responsible
- Nonprofit Partner: The Kindness Project

About the club
Inside Out Club DuPage (formerly I Support Community) started in September 2012 after seeing the overwhelming need for children to possess a strong foundation in character and community. Our mission is to develop kids with character inside and out.
Inside Out Club opportunities
The Inside Out Club (IOC) is designed to engage kids and families in as many of these four opportunities as possible as they practice character skills and volunteer. Working with teachers, volunteers, parents, school administrators and outside organizations, the Inside Out Club is positively impacting more than 1,400 students and their families. IOC focuses on DuPage County and its needs.
What does Inside Out mean? We work to help students develop the character skills necessary to thrive in their lives, schools, and later in jobs and community. Lessons are based on the foundations of social and emotional learning, which helps people recognize and manage emotions, develop empathy for others, maintain cooperative relationships and make responsible decisions.
