Same Sun Here by Silas House and Neela Vaswani
Bonding over commonalities in spite of disparate backgrounds, Meena, an Indian immigrant living in New York City’s Chinatown, and River, the son of a Kentucky coal miner, become pen pals and overcome cultural misconceptions while sharing respective hardships.
What does #LiveInsideOut mean?
We focus on helping kids develop the character skills (i.e. social and emotional skills) necessary to thrive in their lives, schools, and later in jobs and community, which is the “inside piece”. The “outside” part is being connected to the community through volunteerism. All of our programs combine these two elements!
Thank you to our Annual Presenting Partners!
The Inside Out Club is positively impacting more than 3,000 children and their families each year.
Thank you to the Naperville SECA Fund for supporting our weekend events this year!
