A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Philip Christian Stead
Friends come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. In Amos McGee’s case, all sorts of species, too! Every day he spends a little bit of time with each of his friends at the zoo, running races with the tortoise, keeping the shy penguin company, and even reading bedtime stories to the owl. But when Amos is too sick to make it to the zoo, his animal friends decide it’s time they returned the favor.
A World of Pausabilities: An exercise in mindfulness by Frank J. Sileo,Rated 4.00 out of 5
Children (and adults) live in a fast-paced, demanding and stressful world. It is often difficult to slow-down our children’s minds and bodies. What does #LiveInsideOut mean?
We focus on helping kids develop the character skills (i.e. social and emotional skills) necessary to thrive in their lives, schools, and later in jobs and community, which is the “inside piece”. The “outside” part is being connected to the community through volunteerism. All of our programs combine these two elements!
Thank you to our Annual Presenting Partners!
The Inside Out Club is positively impacting more than 3,000 children and their families each year.
Thank you to the Naperville SECA Fund for supporting our weekend events this year!
